This guide explains how budgets work on Vibe, the difference between daily and lifetime budgets, and how spend is controlled across your strategies.
Where budgets are set
On Vibe, budgets are set at the strategy level, not the campaign level. Each strategy (ad set) within a campaign has its own independent budget.
If your campaign has 3 strategies, each with a $500 daily budget, your total campaign spend will be up to $1,500 per day. Each strategy manages its own budget independently.
This gives you full control over how much you spend on each targeting setup within your campaign.
Budget types
Each strategy has one of two budget types:
Daily budget: The maximum amount Vibe will spend per day on this strategy. Spend may vary slightly day-to-day as the system optimizes delivery, but the daily average will stay close to your target.
Lifetime budget: The total amount Vibe will spend on this strategy over its entire flight. Vibe distributes this budget across the strategy's start and end dates. This option requires an end date.
Different strategies within the same campaign can use different budget types.
How budget pacing works
Daily budget: The system aims to spend your full daily budget each day. On some days it may underspend (if available inventory is limited) and on others it may slightly overspend to compensate.
Lifetime budget: The system divides the remaining budget by the number of remaining days and paces accordingly. Pacing adjusts automatically as the strategy progresses.
If a strategy is exhausting its budget faster than expected, check whether your targeting is broad enough and whether your CPM bid is competitive.
Understanding total campaign spend
Your total campaign spend is the sum of all active strategy budgets. To control your overall campaign spend:
Review the budget of each strategy before launching.
Add up strategy budgets to understand your total daily or lifetime commitment.
Pause individual strategies to stop spend on specific targeting setups without affecting others.
Changing your budget
You can increase or decrease a strategy's budget at any time while the campaign is running:
Go to your campaign and click Edit campaign.
Select the strategy you want to adjust.
Update the budget amount and save.
Budget changes do not reset the learning phase.
How budgets relate to billing
Your budget controls how much you spend. Billing controls when you are charged for that spend. Charges are based on total account spend across all campaigns, not per-strategy. See Billing and Payment for details.
