Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your Vibe account. Here's how to enable 2FA, set it up, and manage it from your settings.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security to your Vibe account, so it stays protected even if your password is ever compromised.

2FA is optional but strongly recommended. You can turn it on or off at any time from your account settings.

Turn On 2FA

  1. Go to Settings → General.

  2. In the Two-factor authentication section, switch the toggle On.

  3. Choose your preferred method and follow the setup steps below.

Choose Your Authentication Method

You can choose between two methods:

  • Authenticator app — use Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, Microsoft Authenticator, or any TOTP-compatible app

  • SMS verification — receive a one-time code by text message

Set Up with an Authenticator App

  1. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code displayed on screen, or enter the setup key manually.

  2. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to confirm it's working.

  3. Click Verify to complete setup.

Set Up with SMS

  1. Enter your phone number and click Send code.

  2. Enter the 6-digit code you received by text.

  3. Click Verify to complete setup.

Signing In with 2FA Enabled

After entering your email and password, you'll be prompted for your second factor. Enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app or the code sent to your phone.

Turn Off 2FA

You can turn 2FA off at any time from Settings → General. Switch the toggle to Off and confirm. Your account will be less secure — only your password will be required at sign-in. You can turn 2FA back on whenever you want.

Lost Access to Your Second Factor?

If you can no longer access your authentication method, use one of your backup recovery codes on the login screen to sign in.

If you've lost both your second factor and all backup codes, contact our support team via the Help Center chat and we'll help you recover access.
